Speakers and Mentors

There is nothing worse than having someone who is bankrupt mentoring people in finances. That’s why Dr. Dave Willams asked the Lord to give him people who are successful in both business and ethics to help you apply the biblical success principles you’ll learn in Club 52.

Following are just some of the speakers and mentors we've had at past events. All speakers and mentors have been chosen because of their amazing success, and/or their absolute commitment to biblical and ethical principles of business.

Scott Benjamin: Physical Therapist, Doctor of Science in Physical Therapy—Co-author of Post Surgical Rehabilitation; also, Functional AnatomyScott Benjamin

Physical Therapist, Doctor of Science in Physical Therapy

Co-author of Post Surgical Rehabilitation; also, Functional Anatomy Dr. Benjamin received his undergraduate training from the Michigan Technological University and his physical therapy BS from the University of Maryland. With Dr. Roy Bechtel he co-authored Post Surgical Rehabilitation and Functional Anatomy. His authored papers include TDA, lateral epicondylitis, modalities, isokinetic testing and aquatic therapy. He has taught nationally and internationally on biomechanics of the spine, sacroiliac joint, manual therapy, and rehabilitation.

Don Benson labors happily in his 6-year old restaurant, Benson’s Vinaigrettes. Restaurant ownership fulfilled a lifelong dream. Before this, he was Executive Chef for Sparrow Health Systems in Lansing where he coordinated the preparation and serving of 6,000 meals every day. He graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management. He also earned an Associates Degree from Johnson and Wales Culinary Arts Institute and received accreditation as a Certified Executive Chef by the American Culinary Institute. Don serves on the Board of Elders at Mount Hope Church in Delta Township, as well as on the board of Gilead Healing Center. He directs the Mount Hope Into the Streets Ministry, feeding Lansing’s poor and homeless and providing them with Good News of Jesus Christ.

Since 1993, his company has controlled over $15 million in sales. From 1985 to 1993 Mark partnered with Roger Smith in Brunette and Smith Construction, Inc. This company grossed over $11 million in annual sales. Mark is a member of Mount Hope Church in Delta Township.

Providing affordable multiple and single family housing John Hayes has been developing affordable single and multi-family housing in Michigan, Ohio, and Illinois for nearly 30 years. He currently has management and owner responsibilities for over 5,000 apartment units. His has created 15,000 units, generating over $750 million in debt financing and over $250 million in equity financing. He was past president of the Michigan Housing Council and currently serves as the sole developer on the advisory board of the Great Lakes Capital Fund. Graduating from the University of Detroit, he received his CPA credentials working at a large public accounting firm prior to his real estate development career.

John O’Leary, president of O’Leary Paint Company, holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Colorado. His company is the largest privately held architectural paint manufactory in Michigan, distributing paint through their own network of stores. They are nationally recognized in the Top 40 paint dealers in North America. John is:
